Cross Timbers Family Services provides the following accompaniment services to victims of violent crime:
* Criminal Justice Accompaniment - support provided by a trained staff or volunteer to a victim of crime while that victim is participating in the criminal justice system or civil court proceedings (i.e., meetings between attorney and victim, trial, etc.).
* Law Enforcement Accompaniment - support provided by a trained staff or volunteer to a victim of crime while that victim is interfacing with a law enforcement agency (i.e., filing a police report, being interviewed by law enforcement, etc.).
* Medical Accompaniment - support provided by a trained staff or volunteer to a victim of crime who is receiving services related to a violent crime at a medical faciloity (i.e., receiving medical attenditon due to injuries resulting from a violent crime, sexual assault examination, etc.).
Staff and volunteers are well trained and work with medical, judicial, and law enforcement personnel regularly. The purpose of accompaniment services is to provide support, information, and assistance to a victim of violent crime.
